The Avaya 9640 IP Phone delivers advanced communications
capabilites with an intergrated WML application interface
and one touch access to Avaya aura Communication Manager
mobility or forwarding features in a solution designed
for those who are absolutely dependent on voice communications
for their business operations. Every phone in the avaya
9600 range supports the embedded speech recognition
engine allows for dialling contacts by speaking the
persons name. If a contact has more than one number
listed you can specify which number to call e.g. "call
Dan at work". for any business that uses the hot
desking facility a USB stick can be used to log into
a phone and store personal contacts. When the USB stick
is inserted into the phone the user can then utilise
the speech recognition engine to dial the personal contacts
(250 personal contacts supported).
The Avaya 9640 IP Phone supports higher
quality wideband audio in the handset, headset and speakerphone.,
this provides crystal clear audio with the elimination
of background noise. Productivity enhancing phone applications
such as microsoft outlook calendars and surveillance
cameras/webcams (refreshed still images) are supported
by the Avaya 9640 IP Phone. Three 24 buttons expansion
modules are supported by the Avaya 9640 IP Phone as
this phone can manage multiple calls the expansion modules
make forwarding calls quicker and easier. Each phone
within the Avaya 9600 IP Phone range support a number
of different coloured face plates, a custom design can
include a company logo.
